Weighing in at just 810 grams, the TRAD 24 S is a lightweight among climbing backpacks. At the same time, it is equipped with many important features, including a rescue system for emergencies. Combined with the new SAR 1 rescue system, a Recco reflector integrated in the backpack ensures that injured or missing persons can be located quickly. This climbing backpack also has a lightweight and very flexible aluminum frame, which can be removed if required. The main compartment can be accessed with ease using the circumferential zipper or the innovative cover opening. And of course, it would not be complete without attachment options for rope and ice axe, as well as hydration system compatibility and images of Alpine emergency signals.
RESCUE SYSTEM FOR EMERGENCIES
Recco’s SAR1 rescue system is a helicopter-based detector that can be used to search large areas for people in distress in the shortest time possible. A small reflector, which is integrated into the TRAD climbing rucksacks, is required for visibility. This ensures that people can be located quickly and provides the best possible protection, no matter what the season. The SAR1 system is already being used in many areas.
BACK SYSTEM: HIGH FLEX CONTACT
The back system for this climbing backpack offers a light-weight, removable aluminum frame and a full-contact carrying system. The frame is very flexible, but rigid along the horizontal axis in order to bear as much weight as possible. Thanks to its 3d shape, the backpack fits closely to the back and guaranties great freedom of movement and the best possible wear comfort.
